...hello all, i'm what you'd call a shunned father seeking jws brave enough to talk to me or exjws who might have known my would-be family in the sacramento valley/northern california area... my names andy and i am seeking my twelve tear old daughter *edited*, born in sacramento 1991... the mother's name is *edited*, she shunned me, then disappeared and married a jw man taking on a new last name which i still cannot find out... she might have had more children with her new hubby since, but i have not been able to find out... .

...any tips,help or useful suggestions greatly appreciated, thank you.

Andy, you may be able to find them thru this sight. They have different ways to find people, changed names etc. I found my long lost father thru them. It costs a little and more for each thing but it is reasonable. I think if you have SS# it is easier too. Give them a try. Hope it helps.

The way I see it Scooby has a big war going on in his brain.

He can't stay out because his conscience won't let him.............He can't go back in because his conscience won't let him. He wants to be loved and accepted but if they knew how he really is they would never love or accept him. He is trying to live in the line between oil and water and they don't mix. If he agrees with us then he is being untrue to his other conscience, if he doesn't agree with us then he is being untrue to himself, he wants what he can't have, and wants to be accepted where they can not tolerate the real him. He can only stand on the sidewalk with his nose pressed up against the window asking passerbyes to look and see what great things are on the other side of the glass, but can not cross the threshold and wave people in from inside.

Scooby would probably feel better if he could pull himself away from that store window which really has nothing to offer him but pretty wrapping paper, walk down the street and try looking in some stores that sell what he is looking to buy, even if he's not sure what it is, he'll know it when he sees it. Both sides would be happy then.

Just my humble opinion.

I hope this gets you out of your funk. I read once where they did a study and waitresses who touched people (shoulder etc.) got more money in tips, and waitresses who knelt down to get eye contact. Good Luck.

I'm Cursed

for years, my wife and i have had bad luck.

we were abused and were part of a destructive cult that almost succeeded in driving us to successfully commit suicide, we had to elope to get married, she cried for a year because of how rotten her parents were to her, she almost died a year later from an athsma attack, we got screwed to the tune of $6,000 on medical bills, our cars continually break down, my job is screwing me out of 15,000 a year just because they can, my wife got into a major car accident that has left her in continual pain, i myself have knee, hip, back and foot problems, we may not win the civil case to get some exta funds for her injuries, which will leave us even more profoundly in debt (possibly $6,000), her parents essentially disowned her, we had her deadbeat brother live with us for 3 years because we felt sorry for him, and we barely even got a thank you for our sacrifice, our car insurance is 6,330 a year (more bad luck), we can't afford to buy food, my wife and i are both near physical and mental breakdown, and this morning, my car's transmission broke after sitting in traffic on route 287 for three hours.. there's nothing left of me.

i must be cursed.

about seven weeks ago i posted here for the first time.

I was wondering where you've been. Congratulations on your wish coming true. Please keep in mind all the hurt people here and take an extra dose of true, from the heart love back in with you and be extra kind to the ones that may need a friend, you could make all the difference. Remember all the good hearted people here and know that just because we don't walk the same road as you we are not evil. Keep balance. Go back and make it a better place for all. Best wishes to you. You can come back anytime you need to vent, we will understand.

Update on Aortic Stenosis.

i met with my cardiologist today.he says that i have a mild aortic stenosis 1.7 valve with some calcification.point .2 is normal,.1 is severe enough to warrant a valve replacement.i'm getting a stress test in sept.meanwhile he wants me to take one aspirin,and 400 mg.of vitamin e,every day to keep the blood thin.

after the stress test he says to check my heart once a year with an echocardiograph test.. so,that's where we are for now.i'm feeling much better after this visit.thanks to all of you who demonstrated your love and concern and help.. i hope that this information can be of help to anyone else that may be having the same medical problem.. this forum has always been there for those who need help,love you all!.

I'm so glad you got an encouraging prognosis. The stress and worry wasn't doing your heart any good. According to the numbers, looks like you are closer to normal then sick. Now go have some fun..............
